Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, provided when you register or sign in.
• Profile information: anything you choose to add to your profile — profile photo, position, company, city, an “about” text, a website link, education, skills, languages, and certifications. Your photo is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, and deleted when you change it, remove it, or delete your account.
• Connections and messages: the connection requests you send or receive, and the content of messages you exchange with people you're connected to.
• Recommendations: if you write a recommendation for a connection, its text and your name are visible to anyone who can see that person's profile. The person you recommend can leave it off their profile, but only you can edit or delete it.
• Payment status: if you subscribe to Premium, we store your subscription status and renewal date. Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
• Reports and blocks: if you report or block another user, we keep a record of that action to keep the app safe.

Google Contacts (optional)

If you choose to use "Import Google contacts," we ask Google for read-only access to your contacts' email addresses, for the sole purpose of checking which of your contacts already have an account, so we can suggest connecting with them.

We do not store your Google contacts. The email addresses are checked against our existing users in memory during that one request and then discarded — nothing about your contacts who don't use the app is saved, shared, sold, or used for advertising. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

How we use this information

We use your information to run the app: to show your profile to your connections, to rank search results by how closely you're connected to someone, to deliver messages and notifications, and to manage your subscription. Other members can find you by searching your name; before you connect, they see only your name, job title, profile photo and how many friends you have in common. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the app: Supabase (account login and database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending notification emails), and, only if you use that feature, Google (contacts import). We share with them only what's needed for them to provide their service, and we don't allow them to use your data for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can edit or remove most of your profile information at any time from your Profile page. You can delete your account and all associated data yourself under My account. For any question about your data, contact us at support@doihavesomeone.com.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
